Cattle Fence Project Evidence: Sources, Limits & Buying Documents
Use a project account to identify evidence and purchasing questions—not to promise the same lifespan, cost or containment result for another fence. The former unnamed inland, coastal and high-load examples are not retained as verified field tests.
Review date: 10 October 2026. Product research and document preparation only; no engineering, stock, certification or performance approval.
What this evidence guide does
A usable record identifies who observed what, where and when, with the actual material and method. A favourable statement, catalogue photograph or predicted service life is not an independently measured outcome. This guide separates participant accounts, editorial planning examples, company documents and unresolved claims.
Our evidence centre currently establishes no independently verified completed project from the listed Chinese companies. Missing records remain an evidence gap, not proof that those companies have no projects.
Identify the project and the supplied product
- Named project, location, dates and the responsible company, with a public original or permission to use the account.
- Actual supplied material and model, quantities, governing drawing/specification revision and order references.
- Defined responsibility: material supply, design, installation, maintenance or another scope.
- Report issuer, observation dates, sample or batch connection, method and limitations.
- Distinguish source statements, observed findings and predictions; preserve disagreements and missing documents.
- Attributed photographs tied to the project—not a generic factory or product image.
A named participant account: Matocha Cattle Company
Tejas Ranch & Game Fence publishes a letter attributed to Kevin J. Matocha and dated 7 July 2017. It describes a ranch installation in early 2017 and soil concerns in Milam County, Texas. It is a participant account hosted by the contractor, not an independent test.
The public letter does not establish a complete model/BOM, batch inspection record or independently measured long-term result. Its favourable investment and durability statements are not adopted as forecasts. It is not a CattleFenceWire delivery or evidence that a listed Chinese company supplied the job.
Read the contractor-published letter — https://tejasranchfence.com/matocha-cattle-company-letter/. Source reviewed 10 October 2026; the letter date is not a new project date. No project photographs are copied here.
Coastal claims: ask for the actual exposure evidence
No named coastal test with an attributable method, specimen, report and observation period is established for the former numerical example. This page therefore assigns no corrosion rate or service-life estimate to a coating label.
Request the offered material and coating designation, named standard and edition where applicable, report issuer/date, specimen identity, exposure or test method, and stated limitations. A laboratory result does not by itself establish the installed fence life at a different site. Keep an unknown result blank.
Load and animal-pressure claims: keep the scope explicit
The former high-pressure narrative has no identifiable project/test record supporting a universal containment or knot-life ranking. Similar mesh names or marketing descriptions do not establish comparable installed systems.
Ask for the actual knot drawing, wire components, post and fitting scope, and any claimed report tied to that configuration. Structural suitability, animal-containment design and electrical decisions require the responsible project review; this guide does not prescribe test loads, working tension or acceptance limits.
Keep observations separate from acceptance
Use the existing receiving observation record for agreed identification, counts and visible-condition observations. Record the check limits, document reference, date and observer. A recorded observation is not a field-performance test or automatic product acceptance.
Do not undertake hazardous inspection or handling solely to populate a worksheet. Test methods and acceptance decisions belong to the authorized project process.
When two records can be compared
Compare only the fields whose product, environment, installation responsibility, time period and method are known. Different observation periods, coating definitions, currencies or system scopes cannot be collapsed into a universal ranking.
If a drawing, report or key condition is missing, record the gap instead of calculating an apparent lifespan or return on investment. The supplier-response comparison preserves questions without rating a supplier.
Evidence gaps to carry into a request
Ask the company to identify the source behind a claimed result, the represented model or batch, its role in the project and the current controlling documents. Keep reported repairs or failures attributed to the actual observer and configuration. Do not infer a failure probability from a testimonial.
Connect evidence to the purchase documents
Start with the material family, then read the relevant company profile and official sources. Draft one requirement revision, compare written responses and track supporting files in the document register.
Source-attributed listings are not factory audits, certification approval, stock checks or supply guarantees. A supplier-controlled contact route is for company documents and quotations; platform contact is for resource navigation and corrections. Tools do not automatically send or forward a request.
Questions before buying
Are these verified Chinese supplier projects?
No. This guide establishes no independently verified completed project from the listed Chinese companies. The named external letter is a participant account, not an audited result.
Does a coating or knot name establish service life?
No. Identify the offered configuration, evidence method, exposure conditions and limitations. This guide gives no universal lifespan or knot-performance ranking.
Does recording a report approve the material?
No. Record the issuer, model or batch, revision and review status. Acceptance belongs to the responsible project process.
Where should I record missing project documents?
Use the existing document register and supplier-response comparison with one requirement revision. These tools organize records; they do not verify performance or send enquiries.
